How to price your work
Zapier consultants price per Zap ($100–$500 each, depending on complexity) or as project packages. A full automation audit and build (5–10 Zaps): $800–$3,000. Discovery and roadmap as standalone: $200–$600. Monthly maintenance retainer (monitoring, fixing broken Zaps, adding new ones): $200–$800/month. Complex multi-step Zaps with code steps or webhooks: $300–$800 per Zap. Hourly: $60–$150/hr.
Getting paid faster
Zapier clients are typically operations managers or founders who are overwhelmed and hiring automation consultants to save time. They're receptive to efficiency framing in your invoice too — send invoices immediately after Zap delivery, not at end of month. Include a 1-line summary of what each Zap does. Tangible descriptions get approved immediately; abstract 'automation work' invoices sit in limbo.
